With her sketchbook under her arm, Alyson made her way down to Hagrid's Hut. The small autumn breezes came from all directions, and she tightened her scarf. She wasn't that great of an artist, but practice makes perfect, as her mom always said. After finding a small, soft patch of grass against the hut, she sat down and snuggled into her coat while looking in the direction of the forest. She had never gone in there, and probably wouldn't for a while yet, but she was always curious about it. The wildlife sounded simply amazing, and she yearned to find out what was out there. Her thoughts were distracted; she heard footsteps coming her way.

David walked out of the Forest after dealing with a little... problem. He was walking calmly as he exited, and looked around to check that there were no witnesses that had spooted him leaving it. Unfortunately, there was a girl sitting there looking straight at him. Swearing quietly under his breath, he diverted his path over to where the girl was sitting, ready to judge if she was a danger to him. "Hi," he said cheerily. "How's it going?"

As the footsteps neared, Alyson saw a boy, maybe around her age, coming her way and relief spread through her body. At least it was a person, not God knows what else. As he greeted her, she smiled. "Hello. I'm fine, thanks. How about you?" She stood and pulled her hair back into an elastic after she had spoken and smiled. He was kind of cute. She waited in a patient and cheerful manner for him to reply, and after she was done putting her hair up, she stuffed her hands into her pockets.
