Rain wandered into Honeyduke's and automatically marveled at the amount of sweets that nearly reached the ceiling. Of course, she had been here one too many times, but each visit was a living memory. She meandered through all of the shelves of candy until she found one full of Drooble's Best Blowing Gum. She took a pack and twirled the string around her finger absentmindedly while examining a mountain of Acid Pops and Chocolate Frogs. She would hate to spend a day at Hogsmeade alone, and secretly hoped someone would come along and strike a conversation. Maybe she could make a friend or two, and she kept her eyes peeled for such a person.

Faith walked with confidence, with style and with skill. It was something that she had gained basically by just being herself. She noticed another girl in the store, maybe a year older. She decided to wander over, why not, there was no one else around.
"Lot's of candy huh?"
Faith looked over the candy with her also amazed by how many there was. Candy was one of her favorite things though she had to watch herself because she couldn't have too much because she had to watch her figure, but her grandma said that she wanted to fatten Faith up but to her dismay.

As Rain snatched a box of Bertie Bott's Every Flavored Beans from its shelf, she heard a voice and turned to see a girl who looked to be just about her age standing there, looking at her. She smiled and tucked the box into the shopping basket she had draped over her arm. "It's kind overwhelming, isn't it?" she asked, laughing, and then held out her hand for the girl to shake, careful not to spill the basket of sweets. "I'm Rain Harcourt, Gryffindor. And you are?" Faith smiled at the girl as she held out her hand, "Faith Masnee, Hufflepuff. Nice to meet you Rain." She looked back over at the sweets trying to pick one that would satifise her. She sometimes had trouble making decisions so she asked Rain, "Which one do you think I should get I can't decide."
As a child her parents didn't get her anything except for the things she needed and the occasional holiday gift. It was her grandma that made sure she had everything that I child needed. Candy was included there but it was candy from Africa nothing like it was here at Hogsmede. She hadn't gotten a package from her grandma for a while and was hoping one would come soon.
