Charlie flopped into the nearest chair in the Inter House Common Room. With a slight sigh she stared out the window, wondering and hoping for Harding, her owl to appear. It had been over a week since, Charlie had written Derrek. In fact it was probably closer to almost two weeks since she last heard from him. This pattern was starting to become more and more regular each year, she felt.
Then as if Harding had read her mind, the barn owl came into the room with a letter tied to his leg. Charlie's heart began to race as she reached for the letter, unable to stand the anticipation of reading what he had to say. Every word because of their distance, was worth more to her than a million galleons.
The envelope was blank on the outside. When she tore it open, Charlie bit her lip and scanned the pages.
I've been busy. Hope you're well. D.
In almost disbelief Charlie re read the note. It was indeed all he had written to her. Not even an "xoxo" to be found anywhere. Holding back her emotion of disappointment, Charlie folded the letter back into the envelope and stared at the fire.

Audrey went inside the IHCR after taking a stroll along the corridors of Hogwarts. The chilly weather just made her want to warm herself up. Seeing that there was another girl inside the room, she shrugged her shoulders and went over to her. Sitting on the sofa opposite to where the girl was sitting, she smiled at her and introduced herself, "Hi there," she started in a her calm voice, "I'm Audrey." Feeling a little friendly for a Slytherin girl, she didn't bother to offer her hand to shake since she also thought it was too formal.
